Combating Cyber Threats with OceanMax Datacomms and ARIM Technologies.

Combating Cyber Threats with OceanMax Datacomms and ARIM Technologies. OceanMax Datacomms and ARIM Technologies jointly hosted an invitation-only seminar – Identify, Prevent, or Break: 3 Strategies to deal with insider threats and ransomware, at Capri by Fraser Kuala Lumpur, Bangsar South City on the 5th of October 2016. At the seminar, we shared about the new cyber-defence strategies that focuses on the prevention of the consequences of cyber-attacks, and insider threat management solutions. We talked about how to reduce risks from threat actors that are already inside the organisation, and how we could educate employees, detect risky behaviours and prevent internal malicious or unauthorised activities that may put the organisation at risk. ARIM’s CEO & Co-Founder, Ivan Goh, discussed strategies around data protection from advanced targeted attacks, and dealing with insider threats. The point made was that most security incidents were triggered by internal human resources, whether it was a deliberate attempt to boycott or an unconscious action that jeopardises the corporate network. Ivan then talks about how enSilo and ObserveIT helps with the above. enSilo protects data from the consequences from advanced targeted attacks – example, encryption from Ransomware. And ObserveIT, an insider threat management software, offers best-of-breed user monitoring, advanced behavioural analytics, and irrefutable visual forensics. We close the day with a networking-lunch, and provided our attendees an opportunity to network with their industry peers. ...

Fireside Chat Series #8 Manufacturing and Cyber Security – Creating Internal Peace Of Mind

Fireside Chat Series #8 | Manufacturing and Cyber Security – Creating Internal Peace Of Mind Sahid Jaya Hotel, Lippo Cikarang Indonesia, 25 August 2016 ARIM Technologies, PT Jaringan Intech Indonesia, and Sophos jointly organized an invitation-only event – Fireside Chat Series #8 | Manufacturing And Cyber Security – Creating Internal Peace Of Mind, at the Sahid Jaya Hotel in Lippo Cikarang, on the 25th of August 2016. We were honored to have Mr. Mei Sen, Managing Director of PT Jaringan Intech Indonesia to join us as our keynote speaker, and Mr. Djuniarto Lukman, Country Manager of Sophos Indonesia to share technology updates at this event. With the global cyber security market slated to grow between 20 and 25 percent annually through 2021, cyber security is rapidly becoming a dominant concern for manufacturers. Up until recent years, cyber security is often applied to the consumer-driven parts of businesses, such as logins to internet sites and health care-related information. However, cyber security is now fast becoming a critical component of effective management in manufacturing. In the sessions, we looked at how cyber security is fast changing to become a key focus for the manufacturing industry, and what manufacturers should do to protect themselves against the ever evolving cyber threat landscape. In fireside chat series #8, we shared on how manufacturers should be aware of the management and maintenance of their security systems. Perspectives should be changed to understand that security can be approached in a different way, and anchored by three beliefs; Security must be comprehensive; Security can be made simpler; Security is more effective as a system. The second approach concludes that businesses face more risk than ever before because of the evolving threat landscape, and what they can do to deal with this evolving threat landscape. Updates on the latest trends and cyber security incidents in the manufacturing industry were also shared at the event. We closed the day with a networking dinner, providing the guests an opportunity to network and discuss issues/ideas with their industry peers. Register for interest to become a part of our Fireside Chat community and receive an invitation for the upcoming events at [email protected] ...

Majalah SWA Online – ARIM Technologies Goes Full Throttle in Cyber Security Business

Majalah SWA Online – ARIM Technologies Goes Full Throttle in Cyber Security Business

ARIM Technologies Goes Full Throttle in Cyber Security Business   This article was originally posted in Bahasa at SWA.co.id on 1 August 2016. The growing number of cyber crime incidents and the increasing demand for IT system security by companies in Indonesia turn into a promising business chance for IT security providers. It is little wonder that major IT vendors provide such service. Among these foreign-based vendors, which is increasingly active recently, is ARIM Technologies. Following its first year of operation in Indonesia, Singapore-based ARIM Tech now runs its business ever more actively. “We focus on IT security and provides vital services for companies in Indonesia,” reported Ivan Goh, the CEO & Co-Founder of ARIM Technologies during an interview in his office. With reference to ‘State of the Internet Report’ data, Ivan further elaborated that Indonesia currently ranks the second higher in cyber attack case. China is at the top of the list, while the US is on the third place, just above Turkey and Russia. Such data is in parallel with findings by the Security Incident Response Team on Internet Infrastructure (ID-SIRTII), which suggest that cyber attack in Indonesia has occurred more than 45 million incidents per year in the previous years. This implies that IT and cyber security in Indonesia are now in an unnerving state against cyber attack. Nonetheless, tracking these hackers and cyber criminals is not a work that is easy to deal with. They are like ghosts in that their existence is almost undetectable. Therefore, it would be better for major companies in Indonesia that retain their important business data to take preventive measures, among other things by enhancing its IT system security, rather than having its IT system intruded. ARIM Tech introduced its business in Singapore prior to enhancing its penetration to Indonesia, aiming for major corporate and organization segment in Indonesia market. It was founded by a seasoned team in IT security business. One of them, Ivan Goh, was an Alcatel and SAP executive long before he established ARIM Tech. As Ivan explained, one thing that distinguishes ARIM Tech from its competitors is that not only his company serves as a product implementer, but also engages itself from the beginning of the vendors’ solution development until the product gets matured. In addition, Ivan also underlined that the product being introduced to Indonesia market is an innovative technology and able to cope with the increasingly worrying cyber threats. ARIM Tech is dedicated to help its clients as a provider of security and system tools management, such as advanced malware prevention, intrusion detection, virtual private network, encryption, vulnerability scanning, cyber security testing, data loss prevention, and data forensics. Ivan expected that with ARIM Tech, clients will be able to focus more on their business while getting rid of any cyber attack threat that is definitely fatal to the business. ARIM Tech is not solitary in operating IT security business in Indonesia. In addition to its team, ARIM Tech also collaborates with a number of business partners. One of these partners is PT Jaringan Intech Indonesia, which has a long list of experiences in system implementation, not to mention several other global partner vendors, such as Ensilo and ObserveIT.
